Among the champions in League of Legends, Taliyah probably has one of the most tragic fates, having been nerfed continuously since her debut. The result is that at present, Taliyah has one of the lowest pick/ban rates in solo queue, despite her win rate not being terrible. Perhaps only a very few players who truly enjoy Taliyah would use this champion, while she has nearly disappeared completely from the meta.

One would think that in such a dire situation, Riot Games would upgrade Taliyah in some way. However, recently players discovered that Taliyah inadvertently has her passive “Wall Ride” completely disabled simply by purchasing the Locket of the Iron Solari, which is clearly absurd.
Specifically, according to the investigation by the “bug master” Vandiril, when Taliyah has the Locket of the Iron Solari and the shield effect is broken while this champion activates her passive, it will be completely nullified. It seems that the code of League of Legends recognizes that Taliyah’s passive and the shield effect from the Locket of the Iron Solari are the same. Therefore, when the Locket is destroyed, it also disables Taliyah’s passive for the remainder of that match.

Basically, Taliyah’s passive “Wall Ride” gives this champion the ability to move flexibly and execute ganks that are extremely dangerous. This is a crucial factor for Taliyah to perform well in the Jungle position, as this champion greatly needs successful ganks to create a snowball effect. This helps Taliyah herself become stronger and puts significant pressure on vision. When Taliyah’s passive is ‘disabled’ as mentioned above, the power she possesses decreases significantly.

Hopefully, Riot Games will soon recognize this error and fix it in the shortest time possible. The fact that a character like Taliyah, who already has a low pick rate, encounters such a serious bug will only make her even more “neglected”. Perhaps while waiting for Riot to fix the issue, players who excel with Taliyah should best avoid the Locket of the Iron Solari to “play it safe”.
