Bin Criticized for His “Foot-in-Mouth” Moment
In the playoffs of LPL 2025 Split 1, the clash between BLG and TES was viewed as a focal point. Besides the reputation of the two teams, their confrontation in the loser’s bracket heightened the tension of this match. However, the reality of the game turned out to be quite the opposite as Bin and his teammates showed a rather lackluster performance and were easily defeated by TES with a final score of 1-3.

Not stopping there, BLG star Bin created an unnecessary wave of outrage aimed at him after this match. Specifically, during the post-match interview, Bin was asked what aspects he and BLG needed to improve and fix in their gameplay to achieve better results in the future. He bluntly responded that he did not need to change anything as BLG would automatically become stronger when the lane swap strategy was removed in the next patch.

“Change and upgrade? We don’t need to do that during the upcoming mid-season break. The reason is that the lane swap strategy will no longer exist in the next patch. At that time, BLG will just need to play to their strengths to conquer the LPL in the future. Changing ourselves to fit a meta that is about to be eliminated is unnecessary,” Bin shared after the loss to TES.
Immediately after this interview segment was widely shared, Bin faced a barrage of criticism from the audience. Most LPL fans felt that Bin’s comments showed he was too complacent and failed to recognize the weaknesses in his gameplay. Moreover, blaming the lane swap meta (which has been in place for a long time) after Bin’s defeat is hard to accept. Even the news outlet Sohu commented that BLG and Bin had become a “joke” with such controversial statements.

Arrogance Will Cost Bin Dearly
To be fair, BLG’s recent defeat did not stem solely from the lane swap strategy as Bin is gradually revealing weaknesses in his gameplay. His ability to control team fights and execute strategic movements is not rated highly. This player only excels in laning but that is too little to help Bin and BLG win in high-stakes matches. It is precisely the arrogance and overconfidence that are preventing Bin from improving himself and making him a “one-dimensional” player.

Remember, before the 2024 Worlds took place, Bin also made a controversial statement about considering himself the “number 1 top laner in the world.” As a result, BLG suffered a bitter defeat against T1 in the finals and watched as Faker and his team lifted the championship trophy. Therefore, it wouldn’t be surprising if Bin continues to pay dearly for his aforementioned statements.
