On the evening of September 9th, the Grand Finals of the VCS Summer 2023 officially took place. With superior experience and skill, GAM Esports (GAM) convincingly defeated Team Whales (TW) with a score of 3-1. This victory secures GAM the number one seed from the VCS region for the upcoming 2023 World Championship.

For Team Whales, despite the loss, the team showcased some positive aspects in their gameplay. Players Glory and Artemis demonstrated their ability to “carry the team” exceptionally well during critical moments. Notably, Artemis had an outstanding play at the end of Game 1 of the finals, securing the sole victory for his team.

However, despite the finals being incredibly exciting, the organization of the event had its shortcomings. Firstly, the audio system was not functioning well, with occasional sound losses. Additionally, at the beginning of Game 4, the “Grand Finals” introduction was suddenly pulled down too low.

As a result, it was completely obscured by trees, leaving a rather negative impression for the finals. Although this error occurred very briefly, it did not escape the eyes of viewers following the match. The League of Legends (LoL) community expressed their disappointment over the organizing committee’s basic mistake during the finals.

Basically, the VCS Summer 2023 finals were relatively successful in terms of gameplay. However, the organization faced some errors that prevented the match from going smoothly 100%, which is quite regrettable. Hopefully, the organizing committee will learn from this experience and quickly rectify these mistakes in the future.
