After the conclusion of the 2023 World Championship, one of the main concerns for T1 fans and the League of Legends community in general is the transfer situation of the players. Notably, this season, three key players of T1 have contracts expiring, and they are the three most crucial members in the team’s World Championship victory: Zeus, Gumayusi, and Keria. Among these, Keria is causing the most concern compared to the other two members.

The reason is that Keria is currently the only player in the T1 roster not originating from T1’s training academy. Furthermore, Keria is considered a “rare find” in the League of Legends scene today due to his wide champion pool, proven talent, and potential to develop into a future leader, similar to veterans like BeryL and Wolf. Therefore, Keria’s current value is incredibly high, and many teams are vying for his signature.

Another concerning piece of news for T1 is that Keria’s current representative is also the agent for the “general” Canna. Many T1 fans might recall that after returning from the 2021 World Championship, T1 was involved in a drama with Canna. At that time, this player wanted to join Damwon Gaming, but T1 had made agreements with Nongshim RedForce. Canna’s representative had direct reactions with T1 regarding the verbal agreement between Canna and the late COO John Kim. Although the situation was resolved later, it is evident that Canna’s representative (and currently Keria’s) has had certain conflicts with T1’s management.

With this new development, many T1 fans are concerned that Keria may face some influence from his representative during contract negotiations with T1. Moreover, Canna was in a position where he did not perform particularly well at that time, while Keria is an indispensable pillar of T1. The differing circumstances could be a significant factor affecting both T1’s and Keria’s future decisions.
