In recent posts from the League of Legends development team, the new champion Smolder is seen as quite a successful product. According to the comments from the lead designer of League of Legends – Riot Phroxzon, Smolder currently boasts a very high pick rate of 28%. In addition, this champion has also shown significant improvement in win rate statistics at the Master rank and above.

However, Smolder still has many weaknesses (especially in the early game) which keeps this character’s win rate relatively low. According to statistics from U.gg, Smolder currently has only a 44.99% win rate at the Platinum rank and above. This is the lowest figure among the current marksman champions in League of Legends.

Despite appearing quite weak, League of Legends players recently discovered an “ultimate power” of Smolder. Specifically, this champion can cause the entire enemy team to lose connection completely after taking down an opponent. This will allow the owning team to secure an easy victory afterward.
To achieve this “ultimate power,” Smolder’s team needs to obtain the Elder Dragon buff. It seems that the interaction between the Tiny Fire Dragon and this buff has created some kind of conflict, leading to the elimination of opponents causing them to lose connection. This is truly a serious bug of Smolder that directly affects the outcome of matches.

Interestingly, it seems that Smolder’s voice lines also refer to the aforementioned “ultimate power.” Specifically, Smolder has a line that goes: “My mom works at Riot and she will ban your account.” Perhaps obtaining the Elder Dragon buff activated Smolder’s “mom buff” and caused the opponents to lose connection.

To be fair, the “ultimate power” that causes opponents to lose connection is an extremely severe bug that exists in League of Legends. If this bug occurs in a professional match, it could cause a lot of trouble for Riot Games. Hopefully, Riot will fix this bug as soon as possible.
