A few hours ago, Riot Mark Yetter – the lead game designer of League of Legends – released specific details about the upcoming patch 10.14 update. The two champions that seem to be heavily nerfed are Ezreal and Varus, two ADCs that are extremely popular in high ranks and professional tournaments. Volibear and Trundle also received significant nerfs to their jungle capabilities, likely reducing their popularity when patch 10.14 goes live.

Zed
W – Living Shadow flight speed increased from 1750 to 2500, cooldown reduced from 22-14s to 20-14s.
Alistar
Q – Pulverize: Cooldown reduced by 2s at all levels.
Riven
Passive – Runic Blade: Interaction ratio with AD increased from 25-50% to 30-60%.

However, what frustrates the community the most are the completely unreasonable and unnecessary buffs given to assassins or physical fighters like Zed, Kha’Zix, Pyke, or Riven. These champions are extremely sensitive to power adjustments; even a slight buff can make them incredibly overpowered. Meanwhile, ADCs, who are already not very strong, are being nerfed; how are players supposed to survive?

Riven doesn’t need damage buffs; she completely relies on cooldowns. Everyone wants her old cooldowns back, and Riven can’t just stand there auto-attacking, waiting 5s for her skills to come back while the opponent has 40% cooldown reduction and spams skills continuously.

It should be a nerf to mid Pyke, but this champion doesn’t need any buffs at all.

Balancing Wukong feels like a joke; it doesn’t affect his lane dominance and significant impact in team fights at all. I think they should remove the 2 knock-ups and reduce the attack speed from his E.
What’s the point of buffing Zed? Why not strengthen Ahri, Fizz, Malzahar, or Lissandra instead?
Nerf mid Pyke while buffing Support Pyke, that’s hilarious, this is truly a joke.
