At the upcoming MSI 2022, one of the most noteworthy matchups that could take place is undoubtedly the grand clash between China and Korea, featuring Royal Never Give Up and T1. These are not only the two regions with the most illustrious League of Legends history in the world, but both teams represent some of the strongest names in the current scene. RNG is considered the pride of the LPL, often referred to by fans as the “Royal Legion.” Meanwhile, T1 holds the record as the “undefeated king” of the League of Legends community.
The matchup will be even more exciting when considering the rosters of both teams. While T1 has built its lineup primarily from young players, RNG boasts seasoned veterans. Although both teams share the commonality of only changing their top laner from the 2021 season, these changes can be seen as pivotal. Both Zeus and Bin performed exceptionally well in the recently concluded Spring 2022 season, contributing significantly to their teams’ success. Bin was even voted MVP of the LPL Spring 2022 finals.

Recently, Zeus revealed something that surprised the League of Legends community: “I have practiced a lot with Bin. Back when I was still on the bench, I practiced with various LPL teams quite a bit. Bin is really scary, seriously. He is willing to first pick difficult matchups like Jax. That is truly surprising.”
However, Zeus also mentioned that they haven’t scrimmed together for a while, and he is unsure how Bin is performing now due to their infrequent encounters in ranked games. Still, Zeus has watched some of RNG’s matches and feels that their playstyle is familiar. “We have scrimmed together a lot. So, this is nothing new.”
It can be said that currently, both RNG and T1 are two names with rosters considered the most well-rounded, combining talent, youth, and experience. Both top laners, Zeus and Bin, are in good form. If either shines on their day, these two individuals could easily determine the outcome of the match, and this is certainly one of the most intriguing showdowns at MSI 2022.
