Perhaps for T1 fans and the LCK tournament, the recent Rumble Stage was not entirely satisfying. Before the Rumble Stage took place, T1 was ranked on par with RNG, and even rated higher, with fans expecting them to deliver convincing performances. However, the reality was completely different as T1 had many matches that fell below expectations. True, they still finished second, but the team suffered some unnecessary losses.

After the Rumble Stage concluded, the tense playoffs of MSI 2022 officially began with two fiery Semifinal matches. First, on May 27, RNG will face EG, and then the next day, T1 will clash with G2 Esports. As a statement to assert that confidence has returned to T1, Oner declared in an interview that they will defeat G2 with a score of 3-0 in the upcoming Semifinal.

Question: In the past few days, there have been some opinions suggesting that T1’s performance has improved significantly. Do you think so?

T1 Oner: I’m not sure how my teammates feel, but I entered today’s match with the mindset of not losing any games. With the whole team having improved many mistakes in the past few days, our performance has also been elevated.

Question: You have already secured a spot in the Semifinals, is there any opponent you want to face?

T1 Oner: Only G2. We will take them down with a score of 3-0.

Indeed, if placed in Oner’s position or that of T1’s young players, we would also want to defeat G2 in the Semifinals. Remember that T1’s young players have just gone through an undefeated season, and they also won every match in the MSI 2022 Play-In Stage. Therefore, the loss to G2 right on the opening day of the Rumble Stage felt like a painful blow to their pride. Clearly, a 3-0 victory in the Semifinals is what T1 aims for.

As for G2 Esports, this team still proves to be a very tough opponent for any team. Although G2 has played quite “comically” in the Rumble Stage, they still show that they have many strategies to approach the game and “trump cards” to surprise opponents. Hopefully, G2 Esports will continue to surprise both the audience and T1 with their creativity in the upcoming Semifinals.
