In the meta dominating from Spring 2022 to MSI 2022, the ADC role is crucial, especially in the late game. The brilliance of AD Carries has been vividly evident, especially after the recent Rumble Stage. Whether from top-tier teams or those that have exited the tournament after the Rumble Stage, there have been talented AD Carries making a strong impression on the League of Legends community, such as GALA (Royal Never Give Up), Flakked (G2 Esports), and even Shogun from Saigon Buffalo.

However, one team is sitting in the top 2, but in reality, their ADC has not performed well. That team is T1, and the player in question is Gumayusi – a player who was expected to help T1 dominate the tournament. Yet, up to now, Gumayusi has not fully showcased his talent.

According to international media statistics on the 4 remaining ADCs after the Rumble Stage, it is evident that GALA is the best performer. Among the 4 players, he rarely chooses counter-pick matchups against his opponents. However, he is the most involved in kills, has the highest First Blood win rate, and knows how to secure as many kills as possible, with the highest kill-steal rate as well.

Additionally, the statistics show that GALA is one of the players with the lowest death rate, only on par with Flakked. Meanwhile, Gumayusi is the player with the highest death rate, followed by Danny from Evil Geniuses. In fact, the Korean ADC has a higher death rate than his LCS counterpart, even though EG is a top 4 team and was completely dominated by RNG.
These statistics are truly concerning for Gumayusi and T1. As a highly anticipated ADC at MSI 2022, in reality, the 2002-born ADC has not met the expectations of T1 fans and the LCK community. He is seen as one of T1’s weaknesses, especially in team fights.

Coming up are the Semifinals and Finals of MSI 2022. These are knockout matches, and there will be no more chances for teams if they fail. Therefore, Gumayusi must quickly regain his form to keep the MSI 2022 trophy in Korea against the threats from G2, RNG, and EG.
