Peanut “boasts” after rising to become the “LCK’s deputy GOAT”
On April 17th, HLE achieved another fairly easy victory against the “lower-tier” opponent DRX with a score of 2-0. Given the significant difference in performance between the two teams, the victory of Peanut and his teammates was predicted by many experts in advance. The highlight of this match came from Zeus, who used a very “unique” playstyle with top lane Nidalee and performed exceptionally well.

Not stopping there, this victory for HLE also helped their captain, Peanut, reach the milestone of 500 wins in the LCK. It is worth noting that besides Peanut, only Faker has a greater number of wins than HLE’s captain. Additionally, he is also the first jungler to reach this milestone. Therefore, calling Peanut the “deputy GOAT of LCK” is not an exaggeration given this impressive achievement. After learning about his special milestone, Peanut expressed great confidence that he and his teammates at HLE would win more international titles like MSI or Worlds.

“Honestly, I had no idea I was so close to the milestone of 500 wins in the LCK. If I remember correctly, only Faker has more wins than me. So this is truly a memorable milestone, and I am very happy to have such a long journey. However, I still haven’t achieved any Worlds title in my career, so I will do my best to achieve that. HLE is currently in extremely good form, so I believe we will win both MSI and Worlds this season,” Peanut shared after defeating DRX.

Peanut needs a Worlds title to complete his career
As of now, Peanut has entered his 10th year of professional play, and reaching the milestone of 500 wins in the LCK is a recognition of this long journey. Although he has won the LCK many times and achieved the MSI title, the Worlds remains a dream that has yet to become a reality for this player. The last time Peanut was close to winning the Worlds was in 2017 when he lost to SSG while still wearing the SKT T1 jersey. This has left Peanut’s career feeling somewhat unfulfilled.

With HLE in the current season, they truly possess a very strong lineup and a strong desire to win. Moreover, HLE’s performance at this moment is also incredibly high, having achieved 4 consecutive victories in the LCK despite a rocky start against Gen.G. Clearly, this is helping HLE become a strong championship contender in the LCK as well as the upcoming MSI. As for Worlds 2025, it is still too early to say that Peanut and his team will definitely win. However, if they continue to perform well as they currently are, it will be hard to exclude HLE from the competition for the Worlds title in 2025.
