The Notorious Former Coach of VCS Unexpectedly Calls Out a Player
Perhaps when mentioning Coach R., many VCS fans are no longer unfamiliar, if not to say, very familiar. During the late Spring 2024 season, amid the “32-player scandal” erupting in VCS, this coach was directly called out by a former student from Rainbow Warriors and even disappeared for a long time before VCS and Riot issued a final verdict on the matter. After being permanently banned from participating in League of Legends activities by Riot, this coach recently made headlines again by accusing a rather familiar player of unprofessional behavior.

Specifically, the player mentioned is T. – who previously played in the LCK Challengers of the Korean League of Legends and is the first Vietnamese player to achieve this. However, his time there was not successful, and T. had to return home to seek opportunities. Yet, his time playing for Team Whales also did not leave any mark, and T. still has not been picked up by any team. Recently, Coach R. accused T. of unprofessional conduct, which affected him and several young players, causing them to lose the opportunity to compete in a community League of Legends tournament.

Specifically, Coach R. released messages between himself and a mysterious individual introduced as former player Y. – who is also on the list of permanently banned players. He asked player Y. to connect with T. to invite him to a young team. However, due to some misunderstandings between the parties, he accused T. of “flipping” several times, leading to the sponsor withdrawing from the project and ultimately ending Coach R.’s intention to form a youth team. Out of frustration, he decided to make a “call out” post.

VCS Young Player Strikes Back
Of course, player T. did not sit idly by while being called out. Recently, on the morning of October 7, this player publicly shared the messages between himself and an individual believed to have worked with Coach R. The young player of VCS asserted that he had never worked with any third party, including Coach R., nor had he gone anywhere to practice.

Additionally, player T. also presented evidence that he had previously been approached by Coach R.’s side to play games for money. However, many viewers criticized this player, believing that the behavior shown in the chat that T. shared was just an invitation to play games together, like many streamers do when they don’t have enough players during livestreams.

However, regarding this matter, T.’s refusal is entirely justified. Riot has always strictly prohibited exploitative behaviors in gaming, including account renting or account sharing. As a professional player who has been trained in the LCK environment, T.’s refusal is understandable. Not to mention, T. is still a professional player and intends to continue competing. If there are any complications in the future, this player would be unable to control them.

Currently, the incident is still attracting the attention of VCS fans. Alongside the intense matches of the 2024 World Championship, Vietnamese League of Legends fans are inadvertently drawn into a drama. However, the audience needs to remain as calm as possible to avoid impacting the parties involved due to unclear accusations.
