The Quirky Composition in TFT Season 12
In reality, Quirky is not a weak composition at all, as Beastmasters have strong damage and control capabilities late game. However, the weakness of this race in TFT Season 12 is that the summoned units can sometimes be taken down too quickly if the composition doesn’t have many upgraded champions. As a result, players need to be extremely lucky to have both the School Artifact core and upgrade their composition to a high level, as well as reach level 9 to ensure maximum strength for the Beastmasters.
Aware of this weakness, Riot Games has made a strong buff to the health stats of Beastmasters in the upcoming patch 14.20. Accordingly, the health increase multiplier for this unit based on the level of Quirky champions will be raised at the 3/5/7 Quirky thresholds. Moreover, Syndra’s damage output continues to be significantly increased in this patch, helping players eliminate enemy champions much faster.
The Path Composition in TFT Season 12
Although the meta of patch 14.19 is “Fast 8”, the Path composition has weakened significantly compared to the previous version. This is due to the nerf on the attack speed and healing buffs from the 6 Path threshold, which has left this race at a disadvantage compared to other “Fast 8” compositions. To effectively use this composition, players must push to level 9 and find a way to activate the 8 Path threshold, which requires a lot of luck to obtain.
In the upcoming patch 14.20, the crucial weaknesses of the Path race will be partially resolved as Riot has heavily buffed the attack speed and healing at the 6/8 champion thresholds. Furthermore, a range of low-cost Path champions in the early game, such as Jayce, Zoe, and Galio, have all received buffs to their damage output or tankiness in this patch. Additionally, Norra’s increased ability to buff AP and heal allied champions will also help the Path composition ensure more effective damage output in the late game.
The Transform Composition in TFT Season 12
Similar to the aforementioned compositions, the Transform race has also faced significant challenges as the “Fast 8” meta became prevalent in patch 14.19. This is because this playstyle heavily emphasizes the quality of each unit (using many 4-cost champions) and leverages that strength to overpower larger race-system compositions. The Transform race also fell into this situation, as 1-2 gold units at level 8 could be easily taken down by powerful 4-cost carries from opponents.
This seems to be addressed as Riot has significantly buffed the additional health of the Transform race at the 4/6/8 champion thresholds. Furthermore, several units like Elise, Jayce, and Nasus have also been significantly powered up in this patch, making these champions much harder to take down than before. Coupled with Smolder’s increased tankiness, it’s not out of the question that the Transform-Dragon composition will return to “dominate” the meta in the upcoming patch.
