As we know, VCS has been facing numerous issues since the VCS organizers announced that the final matches would be postponed due to an “unexpected incident”. At that time, many rumors began circulating surrounding the event, including allegations of negative behavior. This is because, last Summer, the VCS organizers and Riot also postponed a series of matches for SBTC Esports, which ultimately led to a penalty for the team due to violations of the rules set by Riot as well as VCS. Additionally, some figures in the community have raised questions about negative behavior, notably Teacher Ba.

Recently, additional information has emerged that has left the community bewildered. Specifically, on March 16, new information regarding the incident surfaced. It was reported that all 8 VCS teams are under investigation and have been summoned by both Riot and the VCS organizers. Following this, one team from the VCS Spring 2024 immediately made their first statements. Specifically, it was MGN Blue Esports, and this team affirmed that player Ryuk is not banned from competing as rumored, and the male player is still actively participating.

The reason for MBE’s post came after a social media channel published an article stating that Ryuk had been banned due to involvement in negativity. Notably, this channel is known for many rumors that often precede official announcements. However, this channel has been accused multiple times by teams of spreading false rumors that harm the reputation of both the team and its players. Additionally, this channel has gradually lost the trust of the VCS audience due to several posts that personally attack teams as well as KOLs such as Saigon Buffalo and coach Tinikun.

At this point, the investigation into negative behavior (if any) is entirely the responsibility of the VCS organizers and Riot. Furthermore, no individual or group other than these two entities has the authority to judge or condemn any team or player. Therefore, VCS fans need to remain calm and avoid being influenced by unverified information from Riot and the VCS organizers that could affect the teams, players, as well as the credibility of the tournament and create conflicts within the community of League of Legends fans in Vietnam.
