The player in question is Feather, a member of ThunderTalk Gaming in the LPL region. In a ranked match against Faker, he played as Rakan and went AFK, causing Faker’s team to lose. Of course, Faker was clearly not pleased with this, and a report was submitted directly to Riot.
However, what is even more noteworthy is that the incident quickly became a hot topic of discussion, trending on the social media platform Weibo, and of course, TT could not sit idly by. According to the latest announcement, TT has decided on the punishment for player Feather: a severe reprimand, a monetary fine, and the deduction of all performance bonuses for this month.
A few years ago, Faker also reported Qingtian when he disrupted a game, which sparked controversy as many voices from the LPL criticized Faker. However, Qingtian was later heavily penalized by TES and had his account banned by Riot right after that match.

Each ranked match represents the efforts of the players from both teams, and most people enter ranked with a serious mindset to win. Therefore, actions that disrupt the game not only waste the time and effort of teammates but also frustrate everyone involved. Even the winning team may not feel much joy if their victory is hollow because the opponent didn’t want to play from the start.
Nonetheless, Riot has yet to update on how they will handle Feather’s account. However, once again, it is clear to see how significant Faker’s influence can be, especially regarding toxic cases that have always frustrated the community since the inception of League of Legends.
