Garena Vietnam Holds Celebration for SEA Games 33 in Arena of Valor and FC Online

Garena Vietnam awards over 1 billion VND to celebrate the achievements of Vietnamese esports teams winning medals at SEA Games 33 in Arena of Valor and FC Online.

At the conclusion of SEA Games 33, the Vietnamese esports delegation achieved remarkable results in the regional arena. To recognize and honor the athletes and coaches who won medals, the SEA Games 33 celebration was held in a solemn atmosphere with the attendance of guests from the Department of Culture & Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, the Center for Training & Sports Competition of Ho Chi Minh City, the University of Physical Education and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, high-achieving individuals in both Arena of Valor and FC Online, along with media units.


Opening the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dak Ba Nhat – representative of Garena Vietnam acknowledged the significant contributions of individuals participating in SEA Games 33 to the country’s esports scene. He emphasized: “The achievements at SEA Games are not just isolated milestones, but a culmination of a persistent development process of Vietnamese esports.” He also affirmed: “For over 15 years, Garena has consistently pursued a comprehensive, professional, and sustainable esports ecosystem that closely integrates with the national sports system and aligns with the state’s management orientation.”


Additionally, during the ceremony, Mr. Mai Ba Hung – President of the Ho Chi Minh City Esports Federation shared a model of cooperation between the Federation, publishers, teams, and clubs; in which, the publisher plays a central role. This model aims to respect and protect the legitimate rights of all stakeholders, while also promoting a creatively, healthily, and sustainably developed esports ecosystem.

At SEA Games 33, Vietnamese esports teams made a remarkable impression, especially in the Arena of Valor category, with two Gold Medals that affirmed the nation’s position in the regional arena.


In addition to the two prestigious Gold Medals, the Vietnamese team in the FC Online category also proudly won a Silver Medal. These achievements played a crucial role in helping the Vietnamese esports delegation top the Esports medal tally at SEA Games 33, surpassing many other competitors in the region.


During the ceremony, Garena Vietnam awarded over 1 billion VND as a practical encouragement and moral support, showing appreciation for the efforts, contributions, and achievements of the Vietnamese esports teams at SEA Games 33.

With the achievement of Gold Medals, each athlete of the Arena of Valor team received 50 million VND. Coach Pham Anh Tuan was honored with a reward of 100 million VND for his excellent performance in leading both the men’s and women’s teams. Additionally, both FPT x Flash and One Star Esports teams were also awarded 100 million VND per team. With the Silver Medal achievement, each athlete of the FC Online team received 30 million VND. The FC Online Vietnam team collectively received 50 million VND.


At the end of the event, the athletes and their families shared heartfelt and inspiring thoughts with fans, while expressing their appreciation for the support and encouragement from state agencies and publishers.

Sharing his feelings after winning the Gold Medal at SEA Games 33, player Nguyen Quoc Huy (Maris) stated that he was extremely proud and honored to be part of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation competing in the men’s team category of Arena of Valor at SEA Games 33 and receiving the Gold Medal. Quoc Huy affirmed that he will strive to practice and be highly determined to conquer four championship cups in domestic and international Arena of Valor tournaments in 2026.

The celebration not only honors the achievements already made but also continues the sustainable development journey of Vietnamese esports in the future, with the hope that categories like Arena of Valor and FC Online will continue to assert their position on regional and international stages.
