T1 Leaves Fans Unsatisfied After “Comeback” at the KeSPA Cup 2025
Entering the match against DK, many fans believed T1 would secure an easy victory. However, surprises came as DK took a 2-0 lead after the first two games. Even when DK’s Career misconfigured their runes, they still managed to defeat T1. Fortunately for the reigning World Champions, Peyz ultimately secured the win for them, but T1 fans clearly weren’t pleased.
This dissatisfaction stems from T1’s shaky performance, even against weaker opponents. In fact, T1’s tendency to disappoint fans is no longer surprising. Moreover, the KeSPA Cup 2025 is not yet an official tournament, serving merely as a “formality” for the 2026 ASIAD. However, with their strongest lineup, fans expected T1 to showcase their true capabilities.
Additionally, another factor worrying T1 fans is that the team’s key top-lane players, notably Doran, have yet to reach their peak performance. Throughout the matches against HLE and DK, Doran made several positioning errors. If not for Peyz maintaining his top form, T1 could have easily been eliminated by DK.
The Finals Against HLE Will Be Another “Test” for T1
Of course, while the KeSPA Cup is the only title missing in Faker’s collection, its significance is not overly emphasized. Nevertheless, against an opponent like HLE, there is plenty of reason to believe that T1 will give their all. Moreover, HLE will be a strong enough “test” for T1 to fully demonstrate their capabilities.
Perhaps, the KeSPA Cup has never received as much attention as it does now. And with Gen.G absent, just the T1 – HLE matchup alone is enough to create a true classic between two of the most storied rivals in the current LCK.
