With an incredibly high amount of damage and constantly buffed carry champions, the 6 Shadow composition has emerged as a phenomenon since patch 10.3.
And perhaps the 6 Shadow composition is the one that Teamfight Tactics players trust and use the most in updates 10.3 and 10.4 up to now.

Let’s take a look at how to counter this dominant 6 Shadow meta so we can turn the tide and win against all opponents abusing this playstyle.
Team Composition

• Against Sion: Sion’s ability will deal area damage to the front line of your team, so be sure to spread your tank champions out to avoid getting wiped out.
• Against Kindred: Kindred is often equipped with strong damage items like Rabadon’s Deathcap or Infinity Edge. Position a champion with the Mystic trait like Taric opposite Kindred or a champion with a Trap Claw item.
Counter Compositions:
1. Marksman/Mystic/Poison

When hit by Poison, Kindred will be greatly limited in their ability to use skills continuously with the item Archangel’s Staff. Similarly, other champions from the Shadow composition may not be able to use their skills in time or may take a long time to charge their energy.
Additionally, the Mystic trait effectively counters Shadow by significantly reducing damage from each hit and skill of this composition.
2. Beastmaster

Similar to the Marksman composition, the Beastmaster also features Mystic and Poison champions. Moreover, Kog’Maw, when reaching 3-stars with just 2 Luden’s Echo, can nearly one-shot most Shadow champions whenever they use their skills.
3. Yasuo Duelist + Mystic

The 4 Mystic trait provides a large amount of magic resistance and makes this whole team incredibly tanky when facing the Shadow composition. Yasuo with 3 items can nearly one-shot any target he aims at, as Shadow champions are often quite “squishy,” even Master Yi.
Items:
• Sword of the Divine: You can use Sword of the Divine to disable an important champion from the Shadow composition like Sion, Kindred, or Master Yi for the first 6 seconds of the match, and that champion will not receive bonus damage from Shadow if there are not yet 6 Shadows in the team.
• Dragon’s Claw: The damage from the Shadow composition is magic damage, so this item is always useful and helps your tank champion withstand damage better.
