Just a few moments ago, Riot Games Korea officially announced the indefinite postponement of all professional League of Legends tournaments in the country, including LCK and Challengers Korea Springs Leagues (CK) Spring 2020.
Specifically, the postponement will start from March 6, 2020, meaning teams will complete their final matches of the first round of the group stage on March 5. The second round will be temporarily postponed until further updates on the pandemic situation are available.

Currently, South Korea is becoming the second largest outbreak area in the world after China. The complex developments of the pandemic have led to the LCK Spring starting without any audience during the initial phase. As of now, LCK has become the third major tournament (after LPL and PCS) to announce an indefinite postponement.
If the pandemic situation does not improve, it is very likely that LCK will consider the option of online matches similar to what the LPL tournament is preparing to implement.

In addition to announcing the postponement, the LCK organizing committee emphasized that this tournament has strictly adhered to all health measures to prevent the pandemic, and as of now, no cases of infection have been reported within the tournament.
