A few hours ago, the first gameplay trailer for Riot’s official shooter – Valorant, the official title of Project A, was officially released. From what we’ve seen, the gameplay of Valorant is a slight upgrade from OverWatch, still a shooter with many characters and unique skills, however, you will have tools to obscure the enemy’s line of sight, similar to Smoke in CS:GO.
As soon as this game was launched, many players from casual to high level were very eager for this title. Perhaps for die-hard fans of League of Legends who only play this game, experiencing a completely new shooter like this is exciting, with some even declaring they will go pro in this game. However, the “early boast” of a few individuals has caught the attention of professional CS:GO players.

Felps, a former player of SK Gaming CS:GO, responded to N9ted: “Oh my god, what is he saying?”.
Stewie2K, a player from Team Liquid CS:GO: “He makes me want to be sick”.
A fan: “Hey dude, don’t make those idiots famous anymore”.
Felps: “Sorry :D”.

Of course, going pro in a game that hasn’t been released is impossible; simply put, you can’t play that game, let alone be a professional player. Furthermore, unlike the cases of League of Legends or Teamfight Tactics, the shooter genre is extremely selective, and Riot Games cannot easily pull players from other games.

CS:GO players are perhaps some of the most demanding gamers, from casual players to pro players, they have their own settings for even the smallest things like the shape and color of the crosshair, mouse speed… If the game does not meet their demands, they will eventually get bored and return to playing CS:GO.
Meanwhile, Valorant, as a new game, needs to keep everything as simple as possible to attract new players. Therefore, it is very difficult for CS:GO players to switch to Valorant.

After all, CS:GO and the Counter Strike series have been and remain a monument, however, it needs some pushes to develop further and perhaps Valorant could be one of them. Competition is necessary for growth, and CS:GO still has elements that can be improved to attract gamers. Meanwhile, we will have to wait until this summer when the game launches to see how the story of Valorant unfolds.
