As previously reported on the journey of the “boy one champion” Hieu Nidalee’s challenge to win 140 games, this is one of the events that League of Legends gamers have been paying attention to recently. Unfortunately, in this third attempt, the result was still a failure due to encountering a troll.

Sounds very familiar, right? Indeed, the global gaming community believes that Vietnam is the most “harsh” ranked region in the world, especially from Diamond rank downwards, where players often encounter amusing yet frustrating situations. Unfortunately, this time the victim was Hieu Nidalee, who stopped at the 81st game.

In the previous attempt, he lost because his teammates intentionally trolled after recognizing his account, but in this third attempt, it was another “difficult” situation when the top laner was both playing the game and… studying. Yes! You read that right; the top player on Hieu Nidalee’s team was playing ranked while attending online classes during the Covid-19 pandemic.

As a result, the character Darius of this student was constantly AFK and moved in a very confused manner. This became a target for the opposing team, allowing Jax from the enemy side to become “fed” like a god, able to take on 2 or 3 players at once. Moreover, Darius kept spamming the chat “HELLO ANH BACH VOI ANH LONG,” driving everyone crazy.

It’s very likely this kid thought Hieu Nidalee and Coyote (Mid lane) were two players playing together, so he intentionally tried to ruin the game. Anyone who has watched VCS would know Coyote is the new Mid laner for Evos Esports alongside Pake. Currently, he ranks in Challenger.

However, even this couldn’t help Hieu Nidalee complete this challenge for the third time, forcing him to stop at the 81st win. This truly shows how “harsh” the Vietnamese ranked system is. Even with four players performing well, one saboteur can still lead to defeat.

Furthermore, the opposing team in this match also had some “tricky” players. Based on their skills, it seems that the enemy team also had a player who was “off schedule” named Graves. This could be a booster with a significantly higher rank than their actual skill level. This contributed to making the game harder, even though Hieu Nidalee tried to carry towards the end, he was unable to succeed.

“Third time’s a charm,” but if he can’t win on the Vietnamese server, then he will switch to the Chinese server. Currently, Hieu Nidalee is undertaking a new challenge to rank up to Challenger in this server within 14 days. Remember, after two consecutive World Championship victories, the Chinese server has become the strongest region, attracting top talents to participate in challenges.

However, the rank in China is much harder than in Vietnam. Here, there are rarely trolls or immature players, but the skill level of gamers is significantly higher due to many being trained professionally. If you didn’t know, League of Legends is even taught in some high schools in China.

Thus, even with Challenger-level skills like Hieu Nidalee and Coyote, playing on this server, they have already lost 4 out of 34 matches, unlike winning nearly a hundred matches on the Vietnamese server. Another characteristic of the Chinese server is that gameplay revolves mainly around objectives, so players are very professional.
