The showmatch tournament between China and Korea – LPL LCK Mid-season Event, has officially been named 2020 Mid-Season Cup (MSC 2020) and the event date has been set. Featuring the top 8 teams from the two leading regions of the League of Legends world, even though it is just a friendly tournament, fans of League of Legends cannot afford to miss this event.

Below is detailed information on the group draw results and specific match schedule for MSC 2020 – The tournament starts from May 28 and concludes on May 31:
Group stage:
– Teams will compete in a Bo1 format, with no home and away matches.
– Each group consists of 2 LPL teams and 2 LCK teams.
– The top two teams from each group will advance to the Semi-finals.

May 28, 2020:
The reigning LCK champion – T1 and the world champion FunPlus Phoenix will be the names to kick off the China-Korea showdown. Being regarded as the two strongest names in Group A, the opening clash between T1 and FPX will significantly influence the standings in Group A.

May 29, 2020:
The second day will feature matches from Group B. Notable names include JD Gaming and Gen.G Esports – two teams that have risen strongly during the recent spring season and have achieved significant results.
The young roster of DragonX may be the least regarded among the four teams in Group B, however, with the leadership of Deft and the genius mind of cvMax, DRX could very well be a surprising dark horse in this group.

Knock-out stage:
The top two teams from each group will secure spots in the Semi-finals, with all matches being played in a Bo5 format. Game 1 will use the Blind Pick format, while Games 2 – 5 will use the Draft Pick format.
– Semi-final 1: 12:00 PM on May 30, 2020
– Semi-final 2: 5:00 PM on May 30, 2020
