As mentioned in the article about Yasuo’s popularity, we know that our “champion” is not only dominant in pick rate in certain regions but across the globe. Yasuo’s pick rate is so high that in some countries like Vietnam or China, Riot had to exclude data for this champion because it was too large, making reports and analysis more difficult for Riot staff.

For Yasuo mains, this is certainly a welcome sign as their favorite champion is loved worldwide. However, League of Legends is not a game centered around this champion; many players absolutely hate Yasuo and want Riot to rework him. This puts Riot Games in a very difficult position, and it seems that recently Yasuo’s win rate has been climbing a bit too high, so they had to nerf this champion. Specifically:

Bonus damage per level reduced from 3.11 to 3.
Q – Piercing Arrow: Interaction ratio with total AD reduced from 1.1 (1.65 when casting at maximum charge) to 1.0 (1.5 when casting at maximum charge).

Yasuo
Maximum health reduced from 523 to 490.
The shield amount increased from 110-510 to 130-530.
W – Wind Wall: Cooldown increased from 26-18 seconds to 30-18 seconds.

This is an extremely heavy nerf to Yasuo as his base health has decreased by over 30 points while his shield only increased by 20. Remember that we don’t always have this shield layer. This significantly weakens Yasuo’s ability to be aggressive and engage in fights early game, especially if he faces a melee opponent, leading to Yasuo often having to hug the turret.
The increase of 4 seconds on the cooldown of Wind Wall is another heavy nerf; remember this is the last skill to max out for the “champion”. In summary, Yasuo’s early game fighting capability will be greatly reduced, and instead, you will need to farm more and wait at least for the Infinity Edge to become strong.

Soul drop rate upon minion kill increased from 2% to 8.333%. Bonus attack speed per level increased from 0.2 to 0.35.
Xayah
R – Storm of Rebellion: Damage increased from 100-200 to 125-375.

Brand Mid
Energy regained when an enemy is killed by passive increased from 6-18 to 10-30.
Viktor
Q – Energy Transfer: Skill damage interaction ratio with AP increased from 55% to 60%. Shield amount received has an interaction ratio with AP increased from 15% to 20% (enhanced from 24% to 32%).
