SofM’s squad achieves a spectacular victory, but VCS viewers react “strangely”
MGN Vikings Esports faced a very strong opponent in TALON, causing many VCS viewers to feel genuinely worried. TALON is considered one of the strongest teams in LCP 2025, and MVKE was actually defeated by them in the group stage. However, in the rematch, SofM’s squad made a stunning comeback despite being behind after the first game. Thus, at least one VCS team is filled with hope of reaching the finals of LCP 2025.
However, the general mood among VCS viewers after watching MVKE’s match was… anxiety. The VCS representative was completely overwhelmed in the first game. And if in game 3, player Fofo hadn’t made a positioning error and Karsa along with ADC Betty hadn’t continuously been taken down early, MVKE might have truly lost. Especially when they also lost the very strong buff, Atakhan, to TLN.
Many VCS viewers even “pleaded” with SofM to quickly get his players to perform more securely. Because, regardless of whether the opponent is GAM Esports or CBTC Flying Oyster, they are both very strong and could definitely make MVKE “suffer” if the match proceeds like today.
SofM’s squad and the VCS audience are still not at ease
MVKE still has at least 2 more matches ahead to achieve their highest goal at LCP 2025. The playstyle of MVKE still has many gaps that need urgent addressing if they want to win the championship at this APAC-level tournament.
At the same time, MVKE likely needs to prepare more strategies. The upcoming matches will all be BO5 and the number of banned champions will be substantial. Unique strategies need to be applied, not only to create surprises but also to help the Vietnamese players achieve the best possible results, bringing glory to VCS.
