SBTC Esports had their first match at VCS Spring 2021 against their opponent Burst The Sky. Despite being the stronger team on paper, the Tam Kê still gave fans a scare by losing the very first game.
However, with the shining performances of the superstars in the roster, SE managed to successfully turn the tide and secured victory on their “debut” with a score of 2-1.
The most notable development in the confrontation between SE and BTS was perhaps SE’s starting lineup. With Zeros being banned for one game, Coach Violet surprised everyone by moving Dia1 to the Top Lane and letting Petland start in the Mid Lane.
In the first losing game, SE’s “patched-up” lineup, filled with stars, had a not-so-terrible start. However, BTS had the advantage from the ban/pick phase by choosing a lineup capable of proactive team fighting and easier damage follow-up, featuring Rell, Sylas, and Samira. Additionally, SE’s lineup lacked any strong picks to face off against the enemy’s Top Lane Camille. This led to SE easily “falling” during crucial team fights and allowing their opponents to take the lead with a backdoor play.
Right after the end of Game 1, Teacher Ba – the “puppet” analyst (as referred to by Coach Violet) and founder of SBTC Esports, immediately began to “find someone to blame,” and Zeros was naturally the scapegoat.

Of course, this was just another “joke” from SBTC, but from a professional standpoint, many opinions agree that if Zeros had played, the Tam Kê fans might not have had to feel this “heartache.” Petland had a decent performance, but if SE had a “better” top-laner, facing Camille wouldn’t have been such a difficult task.
After all, “all beginnings are hard,” SBTC eventually secured their first victory at VCS thanks to the significant contributions of the “warrior” Dia1, but the important thing is that after this match, they will likely receive many more advertising collaboration offers from heart medication brands.
