Frontline – Butcher
Despite having an extremely powerful champion lineup like Samira, Olaf, Aatrox, and Sejuani, the Frontline – Butcher composition still proves to be exceptionally weak. Of course, if you’re lucky enough to upgrade all the 4-cost champions to 2 stars from level 7, this composition is quite strong. However, that rarely happens, and the general situation is that players will lose too much health before reaching the necessary power threshold. Moreover, Olaf being nerfed previously also significantly impacts this composition.

Additionally, the meta of patch 11.8 does not favor building Frontline – Butcher. With players having more gold and items from the Lucky Lantern, strong compositions in the mid-game will become extremely dominant. Therefore, investing in 3-cost carry champions will ensure players secure victories. Meanwhile, if you choose to save gold and wait until level 8 to play the Frontline – Butcher team, it is highly likely you will lose a lot of health in the mid-game and be eliminated early.
Assassins
With the dominance of tanky and high-damage compositions like Guardians and Frontline – Legends, the Assassin team has almost no place in patch 11.8. You may gain a significant advantage in the early game, but once the opponent’s units like Kennen and Neeko reach 2 stars, the Assassin team can easily lose its winning streak. You also cannot rely on the late game as the Assassin team does not utilize any 5-cost units.

Not stopping there, to play the Assassin composition effectively, you must have good observation skills of the opponent’s formation. Positioning your Assassins so they jump directly to your team’s carry is crucial. Otherwise, your Assassins may waste damage on unimportant units. If you do not possess exceptional opponent observation skills, it is advisable not to use the Assassin composition at this time.
7 Sorcerers
The inherent weakness of the Sorcerer composition is the lack of a strong enough tank in the mid-game. Annie is a powerful unit, but you need to upgrade her to 3 stars and equip her with sufficient tank items. Even if you manage to do this, Annie alone cannot “tank the world”, making your backline carries like Aurelion Sol and Veigar too vulnerable to attacks. Thus, you can easily find yourself losing too much health in the mid-game with the Sorcerer team.

Perhaps the only win condition for this composition at the moment is to have a strong Swain with a Sorcerer’s Hat. This item will allow Swain to have a massive health pool when casting spells and deal significant damage. However, achieving this condition is extremely difficult. Therefore, 7 Sorcerers is not a composition you can use to climb ranks consistently in the final stage of Teamfight Tactics Season 4.
