Bruiser – Dragon Tribe
This can be considered an extremely hot team composition in version 11.11 when Sett proved to be very versatile with high damage and tankiness. However, with the update to version 11.12, Sett’s damage output has become extremely weak. The reason lies in the nerf to the base critical damage, making Sett’s use of Wild Beast Strike with Infinity Edge less impactful.

Not stopping there, the loss of the ability for the Mutant Zombie to charge directly into the enemy backline has also weakened this composition. Previously, the Zombie tribe was a solution to take down backline carries in the late game, as Sett was often distracted by tank champions. The Mutant Zombie now stops after colliding with 2 champions, causing this unit to easily get stuck at the frontline. When that happens, your composition will easily get eliminated because the enemy carry has too much freedom to deal damage.
Assassins
It’s not an exaggeration to say that the nerf to base critical damage in update 11.12 is like a heavy blow to the Assassin composition. The greatest strength of Assassin units is their ability to “hack damage” extremely well thanks to a single item – Infinity Edge. With Riot’s adjustments, champions now need a second critical item to maximize the effectiveness of Infinity Edge. Clearly, units like Katarina and LeBlanc are not suited for items like Green Bow, so they will become significantly weaker.

Moreover, with the prevalence of compositions like Sorcerers and Celestials, Syndra is becoming an extremely hot champion at the moment. This champion inadvertently acts as a strong counter to Assassin units, as her ability, Psychic Force, will throw assassins far away from the main carry and team. This makes it very difficult for the Assassin composition to deal damage and eliminate the enemy’s main carry. Perhaps the Assassin meta will only return once Syndra is no longer popular.
6 Legionnaires
In theory, with the reduced speed of matches due to the reroll playstyle becoming less popular, the 6 Legionnaire composition with many expensive champions should become extremely strong. However, in reality, the opposite has happened, with the 6 Legionnaire composition having a modest top 4 rate of just 40.1%, according to statistics from Metatft.com. The main reason for this puzzling result lies in the fierce competition for key units in the Legionnaire composition within Teamfight Tactics.

For 3-cost champions, Riven and Yasuo are the hot names that many want to upgrade to 3 stars. Names like Draven and Mordekaiser still prove to be extremely strong, so they are widely used in the Shadow and Dragon compositions. As a result, players of the Legionnaire composition often find themselves in fierce competition for carries, even when no one in the match is aiming for the 6 champions milestone. This makes it difficult for gamers to upgrade their compositions, maintain health, and they can easily be eliminated very early.
