6 Warriors
After a heavy nerf in patch 11.11, the Warrior composition has almost vanished from the Teamfight Tactics meta. Riot’s change to the shield amount from the Warrior effect interacting with maximum health stats has weakened this system significantly in the early game. This has made the 6 Warrior composition too easy to take down, resulting in players losing a lot of health. Riot has likely realized this, as they have buffed the shield values of the Warrior system in the last two patches.

However, it wasn’t until patch 11.13 with Nidalee’s rework that the 6 Warrior composition could return to the meta. Essentially, Nidalee in patch 11.13 can deal damage more steadily and effectively compared to before. This comes from the effect of gaining attack speed when transforming into a cougar, and Nidalee’s fourth hit will always be empowered. Therefore, the mid-game phase of the 6 Warrior team has become much stronger, allowing players to amass gold and roll for Jax in the late game.

6 Assassins
The Assassin composition can be considered the biggest victim of the reduction in base critical damage in the previous patch. Thus, the Assassin team completely disappeared in the last patch, even though it should have been a strong composition due to its counter to slow, gold-saving playstyles. Things have become brighter for this team comp since Riot reworked the Dark Cosmic Blade, helping champions who possess it lose less health.

If you don’t know, the Dark Cosmic Blade used to always deal damage to champions whenever the unit possessing it dealt critical damage. This caused units like Katarina and LeBlanc to lose health very quickly when their abilities hit multiple targets. With the changes to the Dark Cosmic Blade in patch 11.13, Assassin units no longer lose health too quickly and can deal damage much more effectively.

Rangers
If you’ve noticed, the strongest compositions currently all utilize very high trait thresholds like 6 Celestials, 6 Revenants, 6 Divine… The reason is that the effects at such high trait thresholds are extremely powerful, and you only need 1-2 systems to support damage or tanking. However, with the Ranger team, you must have enough 4 champions, and there’s no room in the composition to aim for the aforementioned trait thresholds. Therefore, the Ranger team gradually disappeared from the meta in the previous patch.

Nevertheless, with Ashe and Aphelios being buffed in patch 11.13, the Ranger composition has gained a lot more damage. Combined with the fact that very few players are aiming for the Ranger team in the current meta, you can build this composition quite simply and use superior levels to secure victory. A tip when playing the Ranger team is to use the Long Tribe early in the game to upgrade Ashe to 2 stars as soon as possible. This will greatly assist you in saving gold to roll for other expensive pieces.
