LGD Gaming may be considered a top team in the LPL, but they have never been a rival that could make Suning fans worry. Even during the peak performance period of this team, they were always the “favorite prey” of the lions.
But that is a story of the past; currently, in the matchup between LGD Gaming and Suning at the LPL Summer 2021, SN are the ones who have to face defeat in the most disheartening way possible.
There are still bright spots in SN’s gameplay, such as Angel’s Lee Sin in the second game of the Bo3 match against LGD; however, that was not enough to secure a victory for this team, as Bin continued to show disappointing form, and Huanfeng made mistakes.
The attempt to dive into the enemy formation with Kai’Sa in Huanfeng’s hands in game 3 crushed any slim hopes SN had for a comeback, before their final team fight was completely countered by the opponents, leading to a clean sweep by LGD.

After the match, the Chinese social media community expressed their frustration over the players’ performance. Coupled with rumors that Suning will be transferred to Weibo by the end of this year, many believe it is time for the lineup that once achieved the world runner-up title to part ways in search of better paths for everyone.
However, there are also many opinions suggesting that we should not rush to conclusions. The early season is always the most unstable time for Suning, and more importantly, they still have some wins playing in their own style.
But it must also be acknowledged that SN is currently too dependent on individual brilliance; if players like SofM or Huanfeng cannot carry the team, they are completely stuck in finding a way into the enemy’s base. The World Championship ticket may have become a distant goal, but at least many fans still hope that SN will fight for a spot in the LPL Summer 2021 Playoffs.
