Guinsoo’s Rageblade
In theory, this is the equipment that gives you infinite attack speed in Teamfight Tactics and provides an extremely devastating damage output. However, the reality is quite different as battles often end very quickly since players tend to focus on carries with strong burst damage. Hot names like Miss Fortune, Lucian, Aphelios… can easily “wipe out” the enemy team when fully equipped.

Because the meta is trending towards burst damage like this, Guinsoo’s Rageblade has no place. Indeed, it provides a lot of attack speed, but it can’t compare to stats like critical damage, attack damage, armor penetration… from other Light Equipment. Therefore, the advice here is that you should not pick Guinsoo’s Rageblade in the Light Equipment selection round. If there are no items for your carry, choosing some defensive items is not a bad idea either.
Statikk Shiv
The weakness of this item is that it can only reach its maximum effectiveness in a Demon team comp. The reason is that Statikk Shiv is an item designed for team comps that rely on high attack speed and primarily deal magic damage. Among the team compositions in season 5.5, the Demon team is the only one that meets these conditions. Even with the Gunner team comp, units like Lucian and Miss Fortune can still deal a significant amount of physical damage.

For this reason, the advice here is that you should not pick Statikk Shiv unless the other items do not fit your team comp. For magic damage carries, items that increase skill damage or critical hits are still much better choices. If you have picked Statikk Shiv, it should be given to a support-type champion in your team to take advantage of this item’s magic resistance reduction effect.
Hirana Spear
If you have played around magic damage carries like Karma or Vel’Koz, you may know that energy regeneration items are usually the first items to be built. This is because very few people contest for Tear of the Goddess with you, and players can easily assemble energy regeneration items. Therefore, when entering the Light Equipment selection round, there is a very high chance that you already own an energy regeneration item and do not need to take Hirana Spear anymore.

Additionally, items like Rabadon’s Deathcap or Archangel’s Staff are clearly choices that provide a breakthrough in power for the carries you want to own. Therefore, Hirana Spear is often an item that gets overlooked during the Light Equipment selection phase. Perhaps if this item had an effect like increasing skill damage after each use, it would be stronger than just providing energy as it currently does.
