In Teamfight Tactics season 5.5, Knights are one of the extremely powerful systems widely used due to their cost-effectiveness. With units like Poppy, Leona, Thresh, and Nautilus costing only 1-2 gold, you can achieve 4 Knights and a strong frontline very early. Thus, a Grandmaster player known as Auqaa thought of combining these 4 units with Vayne to elevate as many units to 3 stars as possible during the hyper-roll phase.
According to Auqaa, the main strategy of the Vayne – Knight composition is actually very simple. All players need to do is buy all the units including Vayne, Poppy, Leona, Thresh, and Nautilus from the shop and find ways to push as many units to 3 stars as possible. You will not purchase experience to level up until you manage to elevate at least Vayne and Leona to 3 stars.
After achieving the above goal and obtaining Vayne at 3 stars, the next step is to level up and strengthen the composition. According to Auqaa’s experience, you should add Varus and Rell at level 7 to activate the 3 Divine trait. This will provide Leona with a significant amount of defensive stats, making her incredibly resilient.
If you can’t find Rell, you can shift your investment to Draven and Hecarim to achieve the 4 Doom trait. This playstyle not only increases damage for Vayne but also provides players with a quality secondary carry in Draven. This composition will enable players to snowball the game powerfully at level 7.
By the late game stage (after level 8), players should add powerful 5-gold units with strong effects to their composition. Names like Gwen, Volibear, and Garen are the best choices to enhance the composition’s durability. If you still haven’t activated the Marksman trait, Akshan remains a strong choice at the end of the game. In case your opponent has strong physical carries, Teemo is a good option to reduce their attack speed.
As for items, the Guardian Angel and Runaan’s Hurricane are essential items that the main carry Vayne must have. For the third item, you can craft items that significantly increase attack speed like Rapid Firecannon, Guinsoo’s Rageblade… Additionally, Zeke’s Heralds to boost Vayne’s attack speed remain strong choices that players should aim for.
