In the semifinal match of the LCK Summer Playoffs 2021, T1 impressively secured a 3-1 victory over Gen.G Esports. Not only did this victory earn Faker and his teammates a spot in the LCK Summer 2021 finals, but it also made T1 the second team after DK and Gen.G to qualify for the upcoming 2021 World Championship in China.
In T1’s victory, Teddy stood out as the most remarkable player, as the AD Carry of T1 almost never lost his lane against Gen.G’s Ruler. It was only when under pressure that Teddy had slightly lower farm than Ruler, but he quickly closed the gap or even surpassed it thanks to his constant movement and taking advantage of every small moment to increase his economy. Notably, in all three games that T1 drew level and won, Teddy demonstrated why he is one of the most talented AD Carries in the LCK today. Ashe, then Jinx, and culminating with Teddy’s Ezreal left the entire Gen.G team unable to execute their gameplay and continuously losing in team fights despite having all the right compositions for devastating wombo combos.
Teddy’s explosive performance also moved the global League of Legends community. On many forums, countless praises were directed at the 1998-born AD Carry of T1.

Additionally, notable figures in the League of Legends scene, including former teammate Mata, did not hold back their praises for the young star after his dominating performance against Gen.G.

Currently, T1 has secured their spot for the World Championship, and more importantly, they are preparing for the finals against DK for the LCK Summer 2021 championship. After about a year away from the World Championship and the same amount of time since T1 last reached the finals of the top tournament in Korea, fans are hoping that T1, especially Faker, can once again claim the highest position in the domestic tournament and achieve victory at the upcoming 2021 World Championship as a worthy affirmation of their legendary status in the global League of Legends scene.
