The 2021 season was definitely not a pleasant one for Team Flash. From being the VCS champions of 2020, after parting ways with key players like Kati and EGO, TF has lost its former self. In Spring 2021, they nearly found themselves among the bottom two teams that had to fight relegation. During the Winter VCS 2021, TF performed even worse, securing only one victory – which was also their last match in the tournament, against SBTC Esports.

Not only that, right after the VCS Winter 2021 concluded, TF announced the departure of many players, from key members to newcomers, such as Palette and Jetsu. However, recently, despite being anticipated, fans of VCS in general and TF in particular were surprised to see the return of a familiar name – AD Carry Slayder – one of the key members of this team during their dominance in the VCS.

Slayder’s comeback is even more meaningful as he is now surrounded not by talented players like Palette or EGO, nor Kati or CBL. Even the coach is someone who was once a senior and teammate of Slayder – Stark, rather than the familiar coach Sergh. Currently, TF is in a phase of rebuilding everything from scratch, and Slayder returns to join Yoshino as the first building blocks of this new generation.
Of course, with Slayder in the lineup, TF will have to play around this talented AD Carry. With the current meta being considered favorable for AD Carries, there will be even more room for Slayder to thrive, and the upcoming VCS Spring 2022 will be the first challenge for the 2000-born player after more than half a year away from professional matches. However, fans of both TF and VCS, while excited, also acknowledge that Slayder has joined the “golden back” club along with renowned names like Chovy and Knight, as his role in TF is currently very demanding.

Whether Slayder and TF will succeed with this move remains to be seen, but certainly, the VCS Spring 2022 will be very exciting to watch. Especially, fans will get to witness the matchup between the two top AD Carries in the VCS right now: Slayder and Artemis (CERBERUS Esports).
