On the afternoon of February 11th (Vietnam time), the match between Nongshim RedForce and Fredit BRION took place as part of the 4th week of LCK Spring 2022. This was supposed to be just a regular match, but at this moment, the confrontation attracted a lot of attention, especially from LCK fans.

Specifically, right before this match officially took place, NS received bad news as they were visited by Covid-19. Until the clash with BRO, in game 1, Ghost could not compete, and the former 2020 World Champion could only return from game 2. Moreover, Ghost was unable to play in his usual ADC role and had to step down to play as Support to replace his teammate Lehends, who could not return in time due to the outbreak.

In the context of NS suffering such significant roster losses, this was an opportunity for BRO to accumulate more wins before entering the second round of the LCK Spring 2022 group stage. However, NS was still a team that remained at the top of the standings, and BRO faced considerable difficulties. In fact, they had a slight advantage in the early game of game 3. However, on a day when “Sir” Morgan was in top form, BRO turned the tide and ultimately won.

BRO clinched a nail-biting victory over NS thanks to “Sir Morgan”‘s timely brilliance

Particularly, in the victory against NS, “Sir” Morgan achieved what many veteran players, who were significantly more skilled than him, had failed to do: winning a game in LCK Spring 2022 with Renekton. Before Morgan’s usage, the Crocodile God had appeared in 5 games in LCK Spring this year, resulting in defeats, even though the players who previously used Renekton were skilled and experienced players like ShowMaker and Rascal… Notably, ShowMaker’s Renekton was thoroughly outplayed by Faker in the DK – T1 match.

ShowMaker’s Renekton also couldn’t secure a single win

In LCK Spring 2022, Renekton is considered a “neglected champion” as he is consistently banned, and when played, he fails to secure victories. However, on a day when “Sir” Morgan was in top form, he made all LCK fans mention his name for achieving what even world champions have not been able to do.
