Teamfight Tactics Season 6.5 has officially arrived for gamers, and this season is seen as even more exciting than the previous Season 6, with numerous changes to champions, Augments, traits, and more. Notably, TFT Season 6.5 marks the first appearance of two champions that have not yet been “approved” in League of Legends, but are present in this luck-based game mode: Silco and Renata Glasc. Among them, Renata is expected to make her debut on Summoner’s Rift soon.

Although it is still unclear how dominant Renata will be upon her actual release in League of Legends, currently, this champion from Zaun is extremely popular. In particular, one of the standout builds is the Renata Brawler – Chemtech composition, which is rated as very strong and can easily make opponents “fall into depression” as they struggle to eliminate it.

Renata is a champion focused on multi-target damage, and her damage is of the DPS type. Therefore, if you choose Renata as your carry, you need items that allow her to cast spells as often as possible and maximize the damage she can deal. Additionally, if Renata is the carry, you also need a solid frontline to provide her with a certain level of durability to unleash her skills as much as possible. Thus, the combination with Brawlers and Chemtech will help Renata address her durability issues.

In the early game, since most of the Chemtech champions from Season 6 are still kept, and the Brawlers are similar, players can use 3 Chemtech – 1 Brawler or 2 Brawlers – 2 Chemtech at level 4. It is not necessary to activate the Chemtech trait at this stage since the Chemtech champions needed have not yet appeared in the early rounds, and this is not the primary trait of this composition.

Moving into the mid-game, champions like Warwick/Twitch/Singed need to be replaced with Zac, and if luck is on your side, at level 5 or 6, when players have Renata, they should quickly place her on the board. However, what remains important are Brawlers like Sejuani, Rek’Sai, and especially getting Vi as soon as possible. Since most of the champions for this composition are spread across all price ranges from 1 to 5 gold, players can roll at a basic speed, without the need to roll too quickly or slow roll to avoid losing important champions, especially since Renata is currently a very hot pick.

Towards the end of the match, ideally, having Tahm Kench and Silco in to complete the composition at level 8 would be perfect. Additionally, Silco, being a Scholar champion, will help activate the trait for Renata at just the right point for her to be effective. If you also have the Chemtech emblem, then it will be a perfect lineup: Vi – Tahm Kench – Illaoi – Rek’Sai – Sejuani – Zac – Renata – Silco.

Strengths and Weaknesses

The strength of this composition lies in the massive multi-target damage from Renata, the buffing capabilities of Silco, and the strong tankiness of the Brawlers above. Moreover, there is the hard crowd control from Sejuani, Zac, and Tahm Kench as well as Vi. Notably, Vi is also a reliable source of damage that players can leverage if equipped with the necessary items and level.

However, the weakness of this composition is that Renata at 1 star is very susceptible to burst damage if facing opponents using Assassins or players who know how to arrange their compositions effectively. Additionally, the required items need to be precise, which can challenge players. However, once operational, this can be seen as a “never-die” composition, and the “huge” damage from Renata will “clean up” the board in frustration for opponents.
