G2 Set for Rematch Against T1 at MSI but “Super Support” Keria Declares: “We Will Teach Them a Lesson”

Keria is extremely confident, even if facing T1's nemesis G2 at MSI 2022.

In the early hours of April 11 (Vietnam time), G2 Esports secured a victory against Rogue in the LEC Summer Finals 2022. Along with reclaiming the LEC throne after a disappointing season, G2 also earned a spot at MSI 2022 in Busan, South Korea. Among the four Major leagues, G2 is the second team after Faker’s T1 to qualify for MSI.

For those who may not know, G2 can be considered a “nemesis” of T1. Remember back in the 2019 season, T1, then known as SKT T1, was completely empty-handed on the international stage. Faker and his teammates were defeated by G2 twice, at MSI 2019 and at Worlds 2019. That defeat extended Faker and T1’s barren run on the international scene, with their last international title being MSI 2017, nearly five years ago.

With a dominating performance in the LCK Spring 2022, fans believe it is time for T1 to return and reclaim glory on the international stage. Particularly, with G2 also officially making it to MSI 2022, many fans have set a goal for T1 to “avenge” their previous bitter defeats. Importantly, the die-hard fans of SKT T1 back in the day and of Faker cannot forget how the “Demon King” appeared helpless with trembling hands as he couldn’t help SKT T1 turn the tide against G2.

Both sides have made confident comments and posts regarding a potential reunion at MSI 2022. Recently, “Super Support” Keria commented on confirming G2 as the next team to compete at MSI 2022: “I watched the LEC finals yesterday. And I saw the part where each name got crossed out, until T1 appeared at the end. As for analysis, we have analyzed them already. We will teach them a lesson.”

Keria asserts that T1 has thoroughly analyzed and will teach G2 a lesson

In previous seasons, especially in Spring 2022, Keria has proven himself as one of the best Supports in the League of Legends scene today. His playstyle is dynamic and creative, and this player is known for his extraordinary plays and high-level team calls. With both his performance and T1’s display in recent times, it’s entirely understandable for Keria to be confident.

It remains unclear what the outcome will be if T1 faces G2 at MSI 2022. But one thing is certain: both teams will give their all and deliver many surprises for fans, from pick and ban to each play in the match. And regardless of which team wins, this will undoubtedly be one of the most anticipated matches at the upcoming MSI 2022.
