On the afternoon of April 22 (Vietnam time), the playoffs for the second round of the VCS Spring 2022 took place with a showdown between Saigon Buffalo and Team Secret. At this moment, these two teams can be considered evenly matched. In terms of determination, neither team was willing to back down as they only needed a victory, and if nothing changed, one of them would secure a spot at MSI 2022. The reason is that the team waiting in the finals – GAM Esports, has already qualified for the 31st SEA Games.

After four tense games filled with spectacular clashes and strategic calculations from both teams, game 5 turned out to be less thrilling than the audience had hoped. TS had some unusual bans/picks while SGB had champions they were comfortable with. Although TS tried hard, in a game where SGB had everything in their favor, TS’s efforts were not enough.
To make matters worse, ADC Eddie fed, leaving the “Hidden Clan” players unable to withstand, especially towards the end of the match. After Eddie’s “unfortunate death” in the final clash, SGB clinched a 3-2 victory.

However, seeing the “Buffalo Herd” struggle against TS – a team that has undergone many roster changes recently and sometimes struggles to perform, many fans are concerned about SGB’s journey at the upcoming MSI 2022 and in the finals against GAM. This is because the current GAM team is probably the strongest in the VCS right now. Not to mention that the GAM players have had a long break and have certainly studied SGB’s strategies thoroughly.

However, SGB’s achievements cannot be denied, and the young players of the “Buffalo Herd” have worked very hard, especially after a not-so-great Winter Split. Moreover, VCS teams always have a fiery playstyle, making an impression on the international League of Legends community. If they can truly return to the international stage, SGB will certainly be able to create surprises against powerful opponents from other regions around the world.
