Jojopyun – Evil Geniuses (2004)
In the context of a talent drought in North America, Jojopyun emerged during the LCS Spring 2022. This Mid Laner recently became eligible for professional play and has just completed his first full season.
However, this 2004-born player quickly made LCS fans remember his name with a series of impressive performances, especially during the playoffs when EG achieved a perfect 3-0 in the decisive matches.

With excellent laning skills and great confidence, Jojopyun helps EG play more proactively compared to many previous LCS teams. Additionally, this player has shown he has a broad champion pool, from traditional mages in the meta like Ryze and Viktor to high-variance champions like Akali, Sylas, and even Yasuo.
With good synergy alongside Jungler Inspired, Jojopyun is expected to have more opportunities for growth as he steps onto the international stage. Despite his youth, this Canadian player always demonstrates confidence, both on the battlefield and in his “trash talk” on social media.

Shogun – Saigon Buffalo (2004)
Similar to Jojopyun, Marksman Shogun was introduced to the VCS stage by Coach Ren as soon as he became eligible. This player immediately proved his worth in Vietnam’s top League of Legends tournament.
In the early stages, this player was rotated with Arrietty, and Shogun quickly demonstrated that he was the better performer, thus securing the official position. Whether SGB performed poorly in the 2021 Winter Split (5th place) or soared in the VCS Spring 2022 (2nd place), Shogun consistently maintained the necessary stability and maturity.

Competing alongside a highly skilled Support like Taki also boosts Shogun’s confidence in his lane plays, providing advantages in team fights. Although he still shows some inexperience in a few matches, it’s clear that Shogun is improving day by day. Facing top LCK Marksman Gumayusi in the group stage is seen as a great opportunity for the young talent from SGB to showcase his skills and learn more at this MSI.
Zeus – T1 (2004)
With what he has shown in the LCK Spring 2022, it’s hard to believe this Top Laner is only 18 years old. Not only does Zeus have exceptional mechanics in every matchup, but he also possesses a “cool head” that is rare among young players.

It can be stated that Zeus is the “monster rookie” of the LCK, as his talent has been recognized by many since his performances in youth competitions. And as soon as he debuted in the LCK, the 2004-born player confirmed that those assessments were entirely accurate.
Based on his performances, Zeus shows no fear against any Top Laner at MSI 2022. Currently, League of Legends fans are eagerly awaiting the skill showdown between Zeus and Bin, another young Top Laner who has made a name for himself at the World Championship and LPL.
