A few hours ago, T1 suffered a defeat against Royal Never Give Up at the MSI 2022 finals. Although RNG won convincingly, T1’s loss left LCK fans and the team’s supporters feeling disappointed. After all, Faker and his younger teammates had never come closer to an international title than in this MSI 2022 final, since their last defeat against G2 Esports in the semifinals of MSI 2019 and the semifinals of Worlds 2019.

Of course, T1’s defeat stemmed from many factors, but one thing is for sure: Faker and his teammates gave their all. They delivered an incredibly exciting match for the viewers alongside RNG. And it goes without saying that the person who feels the most disappointed by T1’s defeat is undoubtedly Faker. The legend of the LoL scene is getting older, and this is the first time in a very long time that Faker has reached the finals of an international tournament, only to leave empty-handed once again.

While the LoL community had differing opinions and debates regarding the MSI 2022 finals, Zeros – a well-known name in the Vietnamese LoL community – also posted about the monumental China-Korea battle. Specifically, Zeros shared a meme of Faker crying at Worlds 2017, surrounded by G2 players. In reality, the origin of this image comes from two completely different moments but was edited together and began circulating on social media after G2 defeated T1 in the first match of the MSI 2022 Rumble Stage.

Immediately, while there were comments joking about the image or expressing regret for T1, many others felt that Zeros still did not know how to hold his tongue. And mocking Faker like this only gives T1 fans, who are already saddened by the loss, a reason to attack the former SE star.

Nevertheless, it seems that Zeros did not have any malicious intent when posting a meme about Faker like this. Perhaps it was just that he posted it at an inopportune time. Feeling sad about the defeat of one’s favorite team is understandable, but T1 and Faker fans should also be cautious to avoid getting caught up in debates that could affect their idol’s image.
