Throughout the development history of Teamfight Tactics, melee carries have always been an indispensable part. In Teamfight Tactics Season 7, Riot even created a system called Warriors just to bring melee carries into the game. Even in the testing phase, the team compositions based on the Warrior system were very popular due to their overwhelming strength. So, what are the strengths of this system? Let’s find out.

Basically, the gameplay of the Warrior team composition is quite easy to get used to as the two main carries of this system, Olaf and Yone, do not have overly complex skills. Their strength will mainly come from normal attacks and the incredibly powerful attack enhancement of the Warrior system. Not stopping there, Yasuo is a very strong 5-gold carry in the late game with high mobility, so the Warrior team does not face issues with diminishing strength as the game progresses.
The basic gameplay of Warriors will be to roll slowly at level 6 to upgrade Yone (and possibly Shen) to 3 stars to make him the main carry. In case you reroll at level 6 but find many Olafs (5 one-star units or more), the advice is to push up to level 7 and use this unit as the main carry. Since Yone and Olaf use the same type of items, you won’t have to worry about wasting items when assembling gear early on.

With the use of two different carries, the Warrior team composition is often divided into two playstyles: using the 6 Dragonmancer (Yone as the carry) and the Dragon (Olaf as the carry). For the 6 Dragonmancer composition, you will use Daeja and Yasuo at the end of the game to activate this threshold. For the 4 Dragon composition, you will add units like Diana, Lillia, Braum and can even leverage items that increase skill damage for these units.

The weakness of the Warrior system is that all champions are melee, so this team composition will face many difficulties when confronting team comps with too much crowd control. Especially when facing compositions with skills that reduce attack speed, critical damage, and knock-ups, the Warrior team finds it hard to achieve victory. Therefore, the Dragonmancer composition with Ashe reducing attack speed, Shi Oh Yu knocking up, and dealing too much true damage is a strong counter to this team comp.

In summary, the Warrior team composition is a user-friendly, accessible team comp with no overly complicated operational mechanics. The only weakness of this composition is its vulnerability to crowd control effects and overly powerful area damage skills. Therefore, you must assemble the Quicksilver for the carries when playing this composition in Teamfight Tactics Season 7.
