A few days ago, GAM Esports officially announced the departure of AD Carry Divkid. This was something that most of the Vietnamese League of Legends community had somewhat anticipated. Divkid is not bad, but at GAM, he had almost no chance to compete for the number 1 AD Carry position with Sty1e. Moreover, in the opportunities he was given to play, Divkid performed only adequately. Meanwhile, Sty1e continues to mature and proves himself to be one of the best AD Carries in the current VCS.

According to some previous information from the Global Contract Database, Divkid was set to transfer to Genius Esports. Competing with him would be Slayder, the former AD Carry of Team Flash. Both are names that have proven their talent in the VCS, and many hope GE could be a new contender. In particular, many fans are eagerly waiting for the day Divkid can face off against his former team GAM.

But now it seems everything may have fallen apart. Recently, Divkid posted a rather pessimistic story, hinting at the possibility of having to end his career. However, this story was deleted shortly after, leaving many in the VCS community, especially fans of “Teddy Quảng Trị”, in confusion.

Recently, another piece of information suggests that Divkid will indeed be absent from VCS Summer 2022. Specifically, in the latest development, the Global Contract Database no longer displays information about Divkid’s transfer to GE. In the roster of the VCS newcomer, only Slayder is listed as the AD Carry.

If Divkid truly does not find a new home for VCS Summer 2022, it would be a real shame. Although Divkid is not an outstanding AD Carry who can single-handedly change the outcome of a match, he is still a very quality player in the VCS. Moreover, if he takes a break in the Summer, he won’t be able to return until Spring 2023. That’s not a short period and it could affect the performance of this former GAM star in the future.
