GAM Excels in Establishing a Historic Milestone
In a do-or-die match against TALON, even the VCS audience didn’t have much faith in GAM Esports. Moreover, in the match against TSW, GAM showed some signs of struggle. However, it was a completely different face when GAM faced TLN again in this Mid-Season event of APAC. And a miracle happened as GAM not only secured victory but also staged a comeback when the PCS representative had taken the lead after the first game.
With this victory, GAM became the first team from VCS to defeat a PCS team in the playoffs since the Vietnamese League of Legends was re-integrated into APAC. Moreover, with this win, GAM has also secured its spot at MSI 2025, as well as that of the VCS region. Since 2017, VCS has never been absent from the second-largest tournament in professional League of Legends due to professional reasons.
One GAM Star Receives the Most Praise
With this victory, Emo has become an incredibly special player, as he has participated in nearly every international tournament hosted by Riot for professional League of Legends in less than a year since being promoted to GAM’s main roster. Emo himself had a standout match that helped the gold-and-black team successfully defend their spot to China.
In fact, this victory also puts GAM in the finals of the Mid-Season phase against the rival CBTC Flying Oyster. If they continue to win, this could be considered the most impressive “mountain climbing” since Riot decided to consolidate the regions, with the two PCS teams dominating the APAC region almost entirely.
