Before the 2022 World Championship kicked off, T1 faced a lot of doubts regarding their form. The reason being that they were easily defeated by Gen.G in the 2022 LCK Summer Finals.

However, when stepping onto the stage of the 2022 World Championship, the entire T1 roster played exceptionally well and dispelled previous doubts. Most recently, they eliminated the last LPL team, JD Gaming, to reach the finals. This victory is especially significant as it brings Faker back to the final match of the World Championship after 5 years of waiting.
With JDG eliminated, only 3 representatives from the LCK region remain in the 2022 World Championship. In the post-match interview, T1 player Keria confidently stated that LCK is currently the strongest region in the world.

“With JDG just eliminated, I can say that LCK is currently the strongest region in the world. And the T1 team will also become the strongest LCK team. No matter who our opponent is in the finals, we will defeat them,” Keria shared after the match.
Indeed, with their recent consecutive victories, T1 is proving to be a real winning machine. The only weakness, which was Gumayusi, has been resolved as this player has regained his confidence and top form.

As for the two teams Gen.G and DRX, they will need to perform exceptionally well in tomorrow’s semifinals to compete with T1. If not, Faker’s fourth world championship title will just be a matter of time.
