MSI 2025 Schedule Could Drain GAM and VCS Community’s Hopes
Recently, Riot announced the MSI 2025 schedule for participating teams from the Play-in stage – 4 teams from the second seed of various regions. Among these, there are strong contenders like G2 and Bilibili Gaming, as well as GAM – the hope of the VCS region. However, according to the newly released schedule by Riot, the chances of GAM advancing past this stage are almost zero.

Accordingly, in their opening match at MSI 2025, GAM will clash with BLG. Of course, BLG will not be an unstable TES, and the format is not BO1 for GAM to create surprises. After that, it is highly likely that GAM will fall into the lower bracket, and their opponent could very well be FURIA – the representative of the LTA South region, which includes teams from South America. Assuming GAM manages to overcome FUR, their next opponent would be BLG/G2. And both of these names could easily defeat GAM in a BO3/BO5 match.

Thus, the likelihood of GAM being eliminated right from the Play-in stage is higher than ever. Because while G2 and BLG might stumble in BO1 matches, in a full BO3 or BO5, they could even make T1 sweat or eliminate Gen.G altogether. Therefore, the chances of GAM securing a victory against these two top-tier LPL/LEC teams are almost unimaginable.
VCS Fans Are Also Concerned About GAM’s Fate
In reality, GAM reaching MSI 2025 was a must. However, many viewers also hoped that GAM would perform better than just settling for a “surprise”. But with the situation of their upcoming opponents, if GAM manages to create a surprise, it could still be considered a success.

For their part, VCS fans should probably not hold too many expectations, but rather offer encouragement to the GAM players. After all, against such superior opponents, besides faith, GAM may not have many factors to rely on.
