At the 2023 LPL Summer Split, Weibo Gaming (WBG) had fans quite worried. The reason was that this team performed inconsistently in the group stage and was eliminated early in the subsequent qualifiers. Many viewers believed that TheShy and WBG would struggle to get through the regional qualifiers when facing teams like Top Esports and EDward Gaming.

However, WBG seemed to have transformed in the regional qualifiers, securing 2 consecutive victories to earn a spot at the 2023 World Championship. One standout player who played a crucial role in this achievement was TheShy. His confidence and exceptional skill execution seem to have returned after a long period of disappointment.

What fans and the media are curious about is why TheShy could make such a strong comeback in such a short time. In sharing about this issue, TheShy surprisingly revealed that T1 player Zeus helped him a lot in improving his skills. This is also the player that TheShy wants to face the most at the upcoming 2023 World Championship.

“Our coach Daeny still maintains a close friendship with several T1 players. He reached out and arranged for me and Zeus to practice 1vs1 together. The two of us also discussed a lot after each match, and that helped me a lot in improving my skills and regaining my confidence. I really want to face him (Zeus) at the upcoming World Championship,” TheShy shared.

With the new format of the 2023 World Championship, every match is crucial and becomes extremely exciting whenever major names face off. If Zeus (T1) and TheShy (WBG) can meet at the 2023 World Championship, it will definitely be a highly anticipated match. Hopefully, T1 and Zeus can secure a spot at the 2023 World Championship and make TheShy’s (and many fans’) dream come true.
