The fact that Gen.G was eliminated by Bilibili Gaming (BLG) in the quarter-finals can be considered a surprise at the 2023 World Championship (CKTG). This is because Gen.G had a stellar performance in the Swiss round, creating high expectations among fans. Meanwhile, Bin and his teammates struggled to secure a 3-2 record to make it to the quarter-finals.

Personally, Bin faced quite a bit of skepticism as he had shown a decline in performance since the LPL Summer 2023 qualifiers. However, the top laner of BLG dispelled those doubts with an outstanding performance in the match against Gen.G. In fact, Bin even admitted that he had “experimented with champions” right in this crucial match.

“In reality, I was quite worried when choosing Rumble for this match. I had never used Rumble in my career and was unsure if I could play this champion well. Especially in game 5, knowing that it would be very difficult to win. I still believed in myself, so I chose Rumble in that decisive game,” Bin shared after the match.

Up until before the quarter-final match against Gen.G, Bin had played 619 games in his career but had never used Rumble. Even his teammate Xun shared after the match that Bin had only been practicing this champion in the past few days. Indeed, Bin must have had tremendous courage to dare to use a champion he had only practiced for a few days in such a big match as the quarter-finals of the 2023 World Championship against Gen.G.

It should be noted that Rumble is currently considered the strongest top lane champion at the 2023 World Championship. This champion has a win rate of 72% (the highest in the top lane) since the Swiss round. With Bin performing excellently with the champion Rumble, BLG has added another strong strategic option to compete at the 2023 World Championship.

BLG’s next opponent in the semi-finals will be Weibo Gaming (WBG). Coincidentally, TheShy from WBG is also a player who uses Rumble extremely well. It is highly likely that this Mecha Menace champion will become the pivotal point that determines the success or failure of BLG and WBG in the upcoming semi-final match.
