Fans and T1 players are envisioning an “unthinkable” scenario
Earlier this year, T1 was engulfed in a crisis both on and off the field due to bewildering decisions from management. They even finished 6th in the LCK Cup and continued their poor performance throughout the Regular Seasons leading up to the Road to MSI. But in just two months, T1 has regained everything, and now it is they, not Gen.G, who are on an unbeaten streak during the crucial Rounds 3-5 of the LCK season.

Recently, not only the fans but also the T1 players seem to have regained their competitive rhythm and the familiar confidence of title contenders. In a statement after their crushing victory over KT, Keria mentioned: “Although the MSI championship has to wait, T1 is still very eager for the LCK title and especially for Worlds. Winning Worlds three times in a row would be a unique record. But our fans are cheering us on, and that is a tremendous motivation for us to repay them.”

If T1 can indeed win Worlds for the third consecutive time, it could be established as the greatest team in esports history. Because if we compare, with a tournament of similar stature like The International, no team has ever won these tournaments three times in a row.
The match against HLE will be a measure of T1’s ambitions
In fact, at Worlds, T1 remains a force not to be underestimated, even when they are at their lowest. As Faker has confirmed, the T1 of 2024 is weaker and in more crisis than in 2023, yet they still managed to win the championship in the most dramatic way possible. At Worlds, T1 is currently the reigning king.

However, clearly, defeating KT, which has been fluctuating, was somewhat predictable, and T1 still has a very strong opponent ahead in the first phase, HLE. If they can convincingly defeat HLE as they did when T1 crushed the reigning champions First Stand in the Road to MSI, the determination of this team will be validated, and the audience will feel more reassured for the rest of the season.
