The Rise of Alune in TFT
Before the release of patch 14.10 for TFT, the champion Alune encountered a rather annoying bug that made this unit relatively weak. Specifically, the magic resistance reduction effect from the skill would not be applied to Alune’s main target whenever this unit cast its spell. This had a significant impact on the output magic damage of this unit.

However, when patch 14.10 was released, the aforementioned bug was fixed by Riot Games, significantly enhancing Alune’s damage output potential. Subsequently, TFT experts on the LPL Super Server found ways to combine this effect with Sorcerer champions like Lillia and Azir. As a result, these units dealt extremely high damage regardless of whether they had items or not.

It’s important to note that in recent patches, Riot has buffed the execution health threshold of the Shadow faction. Combined with the high damage return from the bug fix mentioned earlier, Alune, when fully equipped, can deal extremely powerful damage. In fact, this unit has the potential to completely “blow away” the opponent’s team when given the best conditions.
Building the Shadow – Sorcerer Composition
Players should use a Destiny framework combined with Duelist in the early rounds to preserve resources. This is because Darius and Yasuo are a very strong duo in the early game with both high damage and good durability. Additionally, Kindred or Ahri in the backline are perfect champions to support Alune.

During the mid-game, players will temporarily stop buying experience at level 7 to find ways to upgrade Alune to 3 stars. Units like Yorick and Yone should be purchased at this stage to activate the 4 Shadow threshold and increase the damage output of the composition. Additionally, Ornn and Annie will be excellent additions at this stage (even at 1 star).

After achieving the goal of upgrading Alune, players need to level up quickly to find Sylas and Sett and complete the 6 Shadow threshold. This power spike will provide players with a lot of damage to take down opponents and accumulate gold to reach level 9. At that point, players will add Azir, Lillia, and complete the composition with the 4 Sorcerer threshold.

Items and Technology Cores
For item choices, Spear of Shojin and Morello’s Evil Tome are essential items for Alune to deal effective damage. The third item for this unit should be the Guardian Angel or Rabadon’s Deathcap. Regarding Technology Cores, Gemstone Engraving is considered the top choice for this composition as it helps Sorcerer champions deal significantly more damage. Additionally, cores providing Shadow Emblem to help players quickly reach the 6 unit threshold are also incredibly strong options.
