As known, on the evening of June 12, Coach R. unexpectedly posted a statement claiming that he was the one who reported and provided all the evidence regarding the match-fixing ring to the VCS and Riot. Moreover, the former coach of SBTC Esports even asserted that he was aware of a team in VCS that was established to carry out match-fixing activities. At the same time, this coach claimed that he was completely innocent in this drama. However, the situation did not stop at the post on his personal page. In fact, after that, Coach R. even leaked all the information of the whistleblower about the VCS drama on social media, sparking heated debates within the community.

However, the revelation from the renowned coach VCS had a backlash effect. Not only was he not welcomed by the community, but he also faced continuous criticism. Not only for revealing the information of those involved (who had promised to keep it confidential), but this coach also disappointed the community. It was clear that he was fully aware of everything, yet he still posted as if he was quite surprised when his former students were placed on the list of suspects and subsequently received heavy penalties.

Recently, this coach officially announced that he would leave the position of Head of Esports for Team Whales, a role he was appointed to not long ago. Notably, the former SE coach has not had any actual days of duty, as the VCS Summer 2024 has yet to officially begin, but he already had to step down.

However, according to many opinions from the community, this is a timely and appropriate action. The former coach is currently the center of criticism in the League of Legends community in Vietnam and could affect the image of Team TW, especially when they also have names involved in the recent match-fixing scandal of VCS.
