Faker Sets New Record for Professional LoL
On the evening of August 27, Riot officially released the 2024 World Championship skin line for T1 in the PBE version. This can be seen as a response to the expectations of the LoL community after a long wait, especially since T1 has been embroiled in numerous controversies since winning the championship. The skin line has generally drawn attention, of course, leading to debates surrounding T1’s skins – the team that is the most talked about in the professional LoL scene. On the other hand, Faker has achieved a new milestone by adding 2 new skins to his collection.

This not only makes Faker the player with the most skins in LoL history, but even compared to his teammates, Faker stands out. Specifically, looking at the ZOFGK lineup, the total number of skins Faker owns is equal to the total number of skins of the other 4 members combined. As of now, Faker has 9 skins, including 2 Honor League skins. Meanwhile, the remaining 4 members of the ZOFGK lineup also own 9 skins, with Zeus having 3; Oner, Keria, and Gumayusi each having 2 skins.

Faker Could Further Expand This Record in the Future
If T1 can make history once again this year, Faker could even have more skins than about 25% of the champions currently existing in LoL. And with him signed with T1 until 2029, this possibility is entirely feasible. Not to mention, if T1 wins the 2025 World Championship, this will be an achievement that no team is likely to break. Winning this tournament twice in a row is already very difficult, and winning three times in a row could be considered nearly impossible.

But for Faker – who has witnessed many ups and downs in the professional LoL scene and has achieved “unimaginable” feats, titles are always milestones he aims for. Therefore, as long as Faker is still competing, anything can happen with T1.
