Right after setting the version for the World Championship, the publisher of League of Legends began to improve the update 12.19. This adjustment brings a lot of excitement to the community with many unique trends. Let’s take a look at 5 champions with unique styles for players to explore.
5. Nasus
In version 12.19, Nasus has received a significant power boost. Specifically, Riot Games has been very generous to the “Dog God” by increasing the range of his Q ability when activating his ultimate. Moreover, the W ability, Wither, provides a very strong slow effect, making opponents feel like they are rooted in place. In addition, the ultimate, Fury of the Sands (R), increases Nasus’s size, allowing for a wider lifesteal range than before.

All these factors help Nasus excel in power in version 12.19. This champion’s win rate has surged from around 50% to over 52%, placing him among the top tier champions in the Summoner’s Rift. From all the above statistics, Riot Games wants to convey to the community: “Make use of Nasus’s power before it’s too late.” As we approach the preseason, tank items are prioritized for upgrades, and Nasus will definitely be a target for the balancing team.

4. AP Malphite
Malphite built with ability power (AP) has been widely used by the Vietnamese community. They play this champion in mid, top, and support roles but do not follow a tank style, always aiming for a build that allows them to delete opponents as quickly as possible. With just one combo, AP Malphite can send opponents to the death screen in less than a second, creating significant pressure.

Now, Riot Games has increased Malphite’s lane-pushing ability with the conical effect of his W ability, Seismic Shard. This effect interacts with ability power, greatly assisting the Comet Shard during the laning phase. Additionally, the ultimate now increases by 10% interaction with ability power, making it easier for players to become “Magicians”. Now, AP Malphite will be played in the top lane, mid lane, and support. The best mythic item for Malphite is the Night Harvester or Everfrost, while subsequent items depend on style and game situations.
3. AP Blitzcrank
After the updates in version 12.19, Blitzcrank is quite weak in the jungle role but extremely powerful with the ability power (AP) playstyle in the support role. Blitzcrank in the jungle has certain pressure, but the burst potential is not high, the jungle clear speed is not impressive, and the late-game impact is weaker compared to other champions. Therefore, Blitzcrank in the jungle is more for fun, while players looking to carry should choose other more suitable options.

However, with a series of beneficial changes for Blitzcrank, this champion is dominating the bot lane with nearly a 54% win rate. Currently, players are also building ability power for Blitzcrank to take advantage of the changes from Riot Games. Specifically, Blitzcrank’s mythic items include: Shurelya’s Requiem or Everfrost, and then players can use support items. If players still want to play creatively, items like Zhonya’s Hourglass, Cosmic Drive, and Infinity Edge are excellent choices.
2. Crit Garen
Garen crit has received a significant power boost from Riot Games in this version 12.19. Specifically, they have increased the power of the E ability, Judgment, to interact with the player’s crit chance. If built for critical hits, a full combo from the Demacian Strength can send opponents to the death screen in a short time, even without using the ultimate.

Garen’s new playstyle leans heavily towards entertainment, helping players dominate during the laning phase and being strong in small skirmishes. This build is rather weak in the late game, especially during team fights. The build for Crit Garen is quite simple; players will use Galeforce or Blade of the Ruined King, followed by Death’s Dance and Infinity Edge. The last two items will depend on resolving the game situation and the circumstances of the match.
1. Reworked Syndra
Syndra has had her skill set adjusted by Riot Games to better fit the pace of the game. After version 12.10, this champion fell behind as the publisher increased the durability of all champions. Now, Syndra’s abilities will focus more on the mid-game, requiring players to collect orbs to enhance their skills. Therefore, the Dark Sovereign needs levels and cannot be strong from the beginning as before.

In addition, Syndra now has a more distinct functional skill set compared to the previous version. The Q ability will now deal primary damage, the W will support the Q and contribute some crowd control, and the E will now take on the role of primary crowd control. Therefore, the Dark Sovereign will now max Q and W, while only putting one point into E before level 13. Although not highly rated for power, Syndra is still worth trying out in this version 12.19.
